Respite

We grow old and weary. We yearn to put down the burden we have been carrying in our hearts. And yet, after a moment’s respite, we take it up again. We have to learn to forgive ourselves the moment we put down our burdens. And if we can’t forgive ourselves, at least, let somebody come closer to your heart and hold it for you. Life is wonderful if we have someone to share the burden with us. Then and only then will we grow out of the weariness and forgive ourselves.

Sometimes we think that we’re sparing our loved ones by not sharing our burdens to them, but the truth is we’re denying them of the chance to show their love for us.

I totally agree. And besides, how can you profess that you love somebody when you can’t even accept the fact that, in loving someone, you love the whole package. Thank you for the inspiring words! :)
